| All wedding cakes are not created equal. Each slice of a Lakes Cakes traditional torte style wedding cake is comprised of 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling. (Many cake designers/bakeries in the Metro Detroit area provide only a 2 layer, birthday cake style wedding cake.) In addition, Lakes Cakes uses a very generous, unique, serving guide chart. For example: A 100 serving Lakes Cakes wedding cake is invariably larger than the same serving size cake that our competitors offer. The bottom line is that we provide you with more cake for your money. We are fully aware that many wedding cakes today are overpriced. We also understand that these are difficult economic times. It is important to choose a wedding cake designer that offers a gourmet quality, expertly designed cake at a fair price. Lakes Cakes treats it's customers with respect, regardless of the scope or scale of your wedding. Another factor that separates Lakes Cakes from it's competitors is that, in most cases, there is no additional charge for intricate side work design Like the look of fondant, but dislike the taste or price? Lakes Cakes decorators are highly skilled at creating that smooth fondant look with our exclusive, delicious European style buttercream icing. Looking for a unique, one of a kind cake design? Why not use your dress or invitation pattern or design as inspiration. We do not charge any extra for this service and it makes for a lovely, personalized cake. Lakes Cakes wedding cakes are without peer in the Metro Detroit area. Fillings:
| Traditional wedding cakes: Each tier of Lakes Cakes' traditional torte style cake is comprised of 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling. Based on the number of servings you require, we will figure out how many tiers your cake will have. You may choose a different cake flavor per tier at no added cost. Our wedding cake price per serving start at $2.85 This includes buttercream filling, icing, side work and buttercream flowers (if desired). Adding a premium filling such as mousse, bavarian cream, coulis etc. increases the price to $3.50 per serving. |
