Lakes Cakes has provided over one thousand cakes over the past 20 some years in the Southeast Michigan area, (although we did deliver a cake 200 miles North of the Detroit area per one bride's request.) The main ingredient in our cakes is getting a wedding cake from us to you, identical to what you imagined.
Our wedding venues have included The Dearborn Inn, Henry Ford Estates, The Novi Hilton Hotel, The Inn on Ferry Street, The Whitney Hotel and countless local country clubs, hotels, parks and halls.

Lakes Cakes offers a personal experience in an increasingly impersonal world. You will consult with the person who will actually design your cake so there is no mistake on exactly how your cake will look when completed.
Each tier of Lakes Cakes' traditional cake is comprised of 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling. Based on the number of servings you require, we will figure out how many tiers your cake will have. You may choose a different cake flavor per tier at no added cost. Our wedding cake price per serving start at $2.60. This includes buttercream filling, icing, sidework and flowers. Adding a premium filling such as fruit, mousse, etc. increases the price to $3.00 per serving.
You have a choice of either a classic butter recipe cake or a chiffon cake which is a lighter, sponge like cake. Feel free to mix batters between tiers at no extra charge.

Lakes Cakes' wedding cheesecakes are about the same height as traditional wedding cakes (4" to 5" high). We refer to these as "double" cheesecakes.
Prices below are based on double sized cheesecakes unless otherwise noted. These cakes can be finished to look just like a traditional wedding cake.
