Specialty Liquors ( Add 10% to base price):

Lake Cakes brushes each layer of cake with a liquor of your choice.  Options include: Bailey's Irish Cream, Chambord, Grand Marnier, Kalua, or your favorite.

Refundable Deposit:

For plates and pillars, there is a $20.00 REFUNDABLE deposit per separation.  For example, a 3 tier separated cake would require 2 sets of pillars and plates, resulting in a refundable deposit of $40.00.  Extra deposits are required on for one piece stands, bridges, fountains etc.  Please inquire for more information regarding the use of these items.  When plates and pillars are returned CLEAN and UNBROKEN, your deposit will be returned.  We reserve the right to keep a deposit for items not returned within 2 weeks from the date of wedding.

Reserving your cake/ deposit information:

A deposit of 25% of total price is due to reserve and hold your wedding cake date.   The remainder is due, at the latest, two weeks before the wedding date.  For your convenience, Lakes Cakes now takes Visa/Mastercard.   A signed contract is also required.

Free 1 year anniversary cake: Lakes Cakes provides you with a 6" cake/your choice of design and flavor for your 1 year wedding anniversary if you booked us as your wedding cake designer.  Simply give us a week's notice to order your cake.

Canceling wedding cake/refund of deposit:

If a wedding cake booking is canceled outside of 90 days from the event date, Lakes Cakes will refund all monies paid to us LESS $50.00.  If a wedding cake is canceled within 90 days of the event date, Lakes Cakes reserves the right to keep your 25% (of cake total) deposit fee.

Between 1 and 10 miles  from 1972 Four Oaks Drive, Commerce Twp, MI.....................$40.00 Between 11 and 20 miles ............................................................................................$50.00 Between 21 and 30 miles.............................................................................................$60.00 Between 31 and 40 miles.............................................................................................$70.00 Please inquire about distances over 40 miles, delivery is $2.00 per mile (one way) *Free Delivery:   Lakes Cakes offers free delivery of your wedding cake to Beacon Hill Golf Club in Commerce Twp. MI,  and Brentwood Country Club in White Lake, MI.  Please consider these two prestigous clubs when shopping for a reception site.

Pricing example: A bride requests a 3 tier separated wedding cake to serve 200 people.  She would like each tier to be yellow cake with chocolate mousse and fresh raspberry filling.  In addition, the bride would like fresh flowers which she is providing, and her florist will do the flowers at the hall.  The icing and side work on the cake is to be in buttercream.   The wedding reception is 22 miles from Lakes Cakes  The pricing would go as follows. 200 people X $3.00/serving  = $600.00  2 sets of plates and pillars @ $20.00 each = $40.00 REFUNDABLE Delivery charge over 20 but under 30 miles = $60.00 Total due: Base price:  $600.00 Delivery:      $60.00                  $660.00 Refundable Deposit: $40.00
